I was diagnosed as diabetic in January 2008 and recommended to undertake regular exercise by my Doctor as part of a programme to reduce my blood sugar levels. I started one to one exercises with Joe in late January 2008 and have not looked back since !
Joe is a professional personal trainer who gives you interesting and challenging sessions that steadily and consistently make improvements to your fitness levels. He develops a programme from the outset and provides guidance to exercises you can do at home in between the weekly sessions in the gym. Every two or three months he varies the equipment you use in the gym so you never get bored.
I was originally on beta blocker medication but this has now been stopped and my blood glucose levels have dropped to just normal for someone with non-insulin diabetes. I feel fitter than I ever imagined I would be at 63 years old and with four small grandchildren to help look after, I am continuing my sessions with Joe. Also, apart from direct health benefits, I feel more mentally alert and substantially less stressed about my work as a tax accountant.
