’63 years young’ client Simon Jamison shows that you can get better with age!

Some People say that most medical conditions and injuries are beyond repair in your 60′s, some say that you are ‘over the hill’ Simon Jamison is a testament to the fact that your 60′s does not have to be a downhill slope.

When Simon came to us He was on heavy diabetic medication and was taking beta blockers to keep his heart rate no higher than 105 maximum, So we had to be very careful with exercise initially, We firstly organised his eating habits around the diabetes and within 6 months Simon was taken off beta blockers and his diabetic medication had been halved! We were both pleased with the outcome, Simon’s blood pressure is now significantly lowered and his cholesterol is in a healthy range.

In recent developments with Simon, he recently set a personal record in the gym- not just a record for his current age but a personal best in his lifetime! Simon successfully dead lifted (lifting a dead weight off the floor and back down again) 107kg yes you read right! 107kg! 5 times! At the tender age of 63 and he’s not stopping there either, Simon vouches for feeling stronger than ever with no injuries or even a slight whisper of a twinge, Simon quotes- “I had knee problems before and also many twinges and strains here and there over the years, and now at 63 I am stronger than ever and feel great!”

    Fantastic story. A real success for this old-timer. Good for him for sticking with it. We’d like to keep him around for many years so this is a good thing. Nice work!!
